Dooley will continue to build upon the growth and leadership he’s brought to the clean energy nonprofit for over 20 years.

Winooski, VT – The clean energy nonprofit, VEIC, announced today that Matt Dooley will serve as the company’s Chief Operating Officer (COO). Dooley has spent over 20 years building leadership experience at VEIC, most recently as the Vice President of Enterprise Services. He began his role as COO on May 19, 2025.

Since starting his journey with VEIC in 2003, Dooley has dedicated his career to fostering strong partnerships and a culture of growth that’s played an invaluable role in helping the organization deliver on its mission to generate the energy solutions the world needs. Through his leadership roles in engineering, consulting, and enterprise services, he has shown a proven ability to turn strategic decision making into tangible benefits for communities nationwide.

The nonprofit administers statewide clean energy programs, including Efficiency Vermont, Efficiency Smart, and the DC Sustainable Energy Utility, in addition to consulting work that has served over 75% of the country.
