NEUAC Annual Conference

For more than 30 years, the NEUAC Annual Conference has convened utility assistance professionals from nonprofit organizations, government agencies, tribal entities, and utility companies. The conference covers a wide range of topics, including:
- Responding to crises and addressing the growing need for energy affordability
- Supporting vulnerable populations facing energy insecurity
- Exploring energy efficiency, renewable energy, weatherization, and water affordability
- Driving change through advocacy, policy, and education
- Fostering partnerships between utilities and nonprofits
Kevin McGrath, Senior Consultant at VEIC, will be speaking for the session: "Tackling Energy Challenges in Manufactured Housing." The session discusses how manufactured housing residents are often energy insecure, facing higher energy costs per square foot and energy burdens than residents of other housing types, particularly those using delivered fuels for heating and other end uses. Kevin will discuss ongoing work addressing these challenges, including field demonstration of new technologies to manage electric appliance demand in California and program development in Vermont.
