ACEEE Summer Study 2026

The 2026 Summer Study on Energy Efficiency in Buildings will bring together professionals from around the globe to the Asilomar Conference Grounds to share research, spark new ideas and collaborations, and advance the technologies and practices needed to transform the building sector to improve efficiency, affordability, and resiliency.

Rebecca Rothman, Director, NEHPA Operations, will lead an informal session on "Heat Pumps Without Borders: Cracking the Code with the New England Heat Pump Accelerator."

Robert Stephenson, Sr. Director, Technical Services at VEIC, will present a poster titled "Mapping Equity: A Geographic Dashboard for Assessing Distributional Outcomes in Energy Efficiency Programs."

Joana Abreu, Lead Emerging Opportunities Manager at VEIC, will join a panel to discuss the topic: "Powering AI: A Nationwide Review of State Strategies for Sustainable Data Center Integration."

Meghan Harwood, Senior Consultant at VEIC, will present "Radical Affordability in Residential Electrification" and will also present a poster titled "Decarbonizing Manufactured Housing: Lessons from Equity-Focused Projects Navigating Technical and Systemic Barriers."

Patti Boyd, DCSEU Director, Technology and Innovation, will join a panel discussion on "Beyond Electrification: Advancing Refrigerant Recovery in HVAC Decommissioning."

Abigail Hotaling, Manager, Data Analytics at VEIC, will take part in a panel to discuss "The Hidden Value of Flexibility: Reimagining C&I Electrification Through Benefit Stacking Across Market Structures."
