Winooski, VT — VEIC announced today that Stephanie Breault has joined the national clean energy nonprofit as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Breault is a Certified Public Accountant with 20 years of experience supporting the financial strength of nonprofits as they scale, including most recently at Northwestern Medical Center. As VEIC celebrates its 40th anniversary and another successful year of growth, Breault’s background will be a valuable resource in securing the organization’s healthy financial future. “I’m overjoyed to join the VEIC executive leadership team,” Breault shared. “The organization’s mission and stellar reputation motivated me to join, but hearing the passion of the people behind the work made me certain this is where I wanted to be.”

Since 2000, VEIC has helped communities nationwide avoid over 116 million metric tons of CO2e while delivering more than $6.8 billion in lifetime customer energy bill savings. In 2025, over half of this impact occurred among underserved groups, renters, or low- to moderate-income households with high energy burdens.

Breault shares the organization’s purposeful commitment to equity and environmental impact. “As a Vermont resident, I’m excited to contribute to an organization that directly benefits everyone in my community,” she added. “It’s also exciting to see how VEIC has successfully scaled these programs across the country.”
