Five years running, VEIC earns Great Place To Work Certification™
Winooski, VT — For the fifth consecutive year, VEIC is proud to be Certified™ by Great Place To Work®. The award is based entirely on what current employees say about their experience working at VEIC.
Great Place To Work® is the global authority on workplace culture, employee experience, and the leadership behaviors proven to deliver market-leading revenue, employee retention, and increased innovation.
“Creating a positive employee experience is vital to our organization,” said Lisa Harris, VEIC’s Chief People Officer. “Being certified as a Great Place To Work for the fifth year in a row proves that our commitment to a People First culture is being felt in employees’ day-to-day lives, and we’re thankful for all their contributions to making that possible.”
As VEIC celebrates its 40-year anniversary, the nonprofit’s dedication to company culture continues to play a critical role in growing its impact. In 2026, VEIC leadership put a strong emphasis on improving “How we Work” and “How we Treat One Another” by developing trainings on Polarity Thinking and Giving and Receiving Feedback that help improve staff communication and collaboration. Additionally, the organization's Culture Committee enacted quarterly "Real Talk" Water Cooler sessions to create organic opportunities for connectivity where employees meet others they may not work with regularly. This ongoing focus on employee experience, communication, and connectivity strengthens VEIC’s commitment to creating a work environment staff can be proud of.
The nonprofit’s attention to how employees treat each other is also reflected in the Great Place To Work survey results. Among VEIC employees, more than 93% reported that people here are treated fairly, regardless of their sexual orientation or race, and 94% reported that people care about each other. As staff affirmed, that caring culture is also reflected in leadership’s approach to communication and transparency, with 90% reporting that management is honest and ethical in its business practices, and that people are encouraged to balance their work life and their personal life.
"Great Place To Work Certification is a highly coveted achievement that requires consistent and intentional dedication to the overall employee experience," says Sarah Lewis-Kulin, the Vice President of Global Recognition at Great Place To Work. “By successfully earning this recognition, it is evident that VEIC stands out as one of the top companies to work for, providing a great workplace environment for its employees."
