VEIC seeks Vermont organizations to participate in fleet greening program
VEIC is launching an innovative program designed to provide Vermont organizations with the technical assistance and financing that they need to fully or partially convert their fleets to electric vehicles (EVs) or plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs). VEIC is seeking participants for a pilot of this program, which will run through late summer 2015.
Benefits to Participants
In cooperation with VEIC’s best-in-class partners, program participants will receive:
- An audit of existing light duty fleet vehicles (owned, leased, or reimbursed use)
- Customized recommendations for optimizing EV/PHEV integration and/or conversion
- Site assessment and recommendations for placement of EV charging stations
- Complete cost estimates and return on investment forecasts
- Identification of available financing mechanisms where applicable
Participant Requirements
In order to participate in the program organizations will be required to:
- Provide data and context of current fleet operations, assets, and expenses
- Provide access to vehicles for data logging
- Express genuine interest in fleet greening and EV/PHEV integration
Participant Eligibility
Organizations interested in participating in the program must meet the following qualifications:
- For profit, nonprofit, or municipal organizations
- Operate a commercial fleet with two or more light duty vehicles and/or significant mileage reimbursement expenses
- Located in Central or Northern Vermont
