Modular homes have become an increasingly popular option for manufacturers and homeowners. When paired with energy efficient technologies, renewable energy, and strategic supply chains, they can save on construction and energy costs while delivering durable, healthy living spaces.

A recent Forbes article by contributor Jennifer Castenson details the relationship and evolution of technology and prefabricated homes. VEIC Senior Consultant, Alison Donovan, spoke with Castenson about our work advancing the availability and accessibility of zero energy modular (ZEM) homes across the country. Our efforts to advance ZEM range from market assessments and pilot program design to supply chain evaluations and improvements.
