VEIC Work Expands to Wisconsin

Nov 12, 2018

In August 2018, VEIC was part of a winning bid, led by partner organization APTIM Government Solutions, to administer Focus on Energy, Wisconsin’s utility-funded energy efficiency and renewable resource program. This exciting new book of work officially expands VEIC’s services into Wisconsin for the first time.

APTIM has served as the statewide program administrator for Focus on Energy since 2011, partnering with Wisconsin utilities and contractors to reduce energy waste. VEIC joins the team to lead the innovation and pilots portfolio for Focus on Energy, drawing on its experience with market trends, innovations, and best practices nationally. In this role, VEIC will help to bring new technologies and program designs to Wisconsin residents and businesses.

In its letter selecting the APTIM and VEIC team, the Statewide Energy Efficiency and Renewables Administration (SEERA) cited the team’s “added depth and breadth with the addition of VEIC’s expertise on behavioral and emerging technology.” SEERA also highlighted the team’s “comprehensive vision for Focus in the next Quadrennium including greater attention to the changing utility landscape and a better customer experience.”

“APTIM is excited to add VEIC’s experience and expertise in delivering innovative solutions,” said Focus on Energy Program Director Erinn Monroe-Nye. “We feel this collaboration will benefit our already popular and economically-beneficial program, and help Wisconsin ratepayers further reduce energy waste while saving even more money.”

As administrator of the Focus on Energy program, APTIM has delivered more than $1 billion in economic benefits to Wisconsin since 2011 and the most recent independent evaluation of the program found every $1 invested in Focus on Energy creates $5.93 in benefits for the state. The program also has a current 9/10 participant satisfaction rating, the highest in its history.

VEIC will open an office, co-located with APTIM, in Madison, Wisconsin in January 2019.
