Congressman Peter Welch recently hosted an environmental forum at Champlain College in Burlington, VT and invited VEIC to participate. The forum was focused on innovative approaches to encourage more investment in energy efficiency.
In her remarks, VEIC Co-founder Beth Sachs highlighted Public-purpose Energy Services Companies (PPESCOs), a VEIC innovation designed to drive deep energy savings in small to mid-size public purpose buildings. George Twigg, VEIC’s Director of Public Affairs, explained that the PPESCO is meant to "reach customers that might not otherwise be able to take advantage of the traditional ESCO model because they are too small —which is the case for most of Vermont."
