For the fourth year in a row, Vermont Energy Investment Corporation (VEIC) has been named one of the “Best Places to Work in Vermont” by Vermont Business Magazine and the Vermont Chamber of Commerce. At an awards ceremony in Burlington on March 27th, VEIC was named the number two large employer in the state, up from third the previous year.
“This award means a tremendous amount to each of us at VEIC,” said Scott Johnstone, Executive Director of VEIC. “There is no greater measure of VEIC’s longstanding efforts to provide a work experience that brings out the best in each employee. We’re all grateful to Vermont Business Magazine and its many partners for their ongoing recognition of the importance of high-quality jobs in Vermont. I’m deeply proud of VEIC’s talented staff, who work hard together, celebrate together, support each other in countless ways, serve our customers with great caring and expertise, and never lose sight of our mission to reduce the impact of energy use on communities, economies, and our planet.”
VEIC was one of 27 Vermont companies selected for their strong showing in anonymous employee satisfaction surveys as well as in criteria regarding company policies, practices, and demographics. VEIC was among nine companies in the category of employers of 150 or more staff.
