The number of electric vehicles (EVs) registered in Vermont continued to grow in the first quarter of 2013. As of April 1, 2013, there were 238 passenger EVs in the state, representing a 27% increase from the prior quarter. The number of EVs in Vermont has nearly tripled since the state first started keeping track in July 2012.
The vehicles are being used throughout the state, not just in traditional population centers. There were EVs registered in 92 Vermont communities in April 2013, a significant increase from the 53 communities where EVs were located in July 2012.
To help illustrate the data, Drive Electric Vermont has released a quarterly map of EV registrations.
