For the third year in a row, the Vermont Energy Investment Corporation has been named to Vermont Business Magazine's list of the "Best Places to Work in Vermont." The recognition was announced at a highly-anticipated awards ceremony attended by Governor Shumlin and Vermont Commerce Secretary Lawrence Miller.
Among the 21 companies who received the awards this year, VEIC ranked third in the “Large Companies” category, comprised of those with 150 or more employees. The rankings are based on benefit programs and in-depth satisfaction surveys, conducted anonymously, which are designed to provide a true picture of how employees feel about their workplace.
“As a company, VEIC strives to provide a stimulating, supportive, and collegial environment for everyone on our team,” said Scott Johnstone, Executive Director of VEIC. “We are grateful for the work that Vermont Business Magazine and its many partners have done in promoting ‘Best Places to Work’ recognition over the last several years – and we could not be more thrilled to have made the list for the third year running. The real stars here are our fantastic employees, and the commitment they show each and every day to reducing the environmental costs of energy use, and promoting a sustainable economy.”
