More than 200 Vermonters Turn Out to Learn about Electric Vehicles

Aug 09, 2012

More than 200 people attended an "Electric Vehicle Demo Day" event co-hosted by VEIC and Drive Electric Vermont, a turnout that far exceeded the expectations of organizers. The event provided an opportunity for members of the public to take a close look at several models of electric vehicle that are currently available in showrooms, as well as test drive them on streets of Burlington.

Among those who turned out to "kick the tires" on the variety of electric vehicles on display were Lieutenant Governor Phil Scott, House Speaker Shap Smith, Burlington Mayor Miro Weinberger, and Burlington Electric Department General Manager Barbara Grimes.
