The National Association of State Energy Officials (NASEO ) 2022 Annual Meeting will take place in-person on October 11-14, 2022 in St. Petersburg, Florida. This year, the theme is “America’s Infrastructure: State Clean Energy Partnerships for Resilience, Affordability, and Growth.”

VEIC Director of Strategic Market Development Emily Levin will present on "Labeling and Program Design Considerations for Renewables and Storage at State and Local Facilities."

The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and Inflation Reduction Act provide numerous opportunities for State Energy Offices to spearhead renewable energy and energy storage improvements in state and local facilities, especially K-12 school systems, through building labeling and energy savings performance contracting (ESPC). This session will explore how program models that involve labeling might be financed by ESPC and other mechanisms to drive deep retrofits for state and local government buildings and K-12 schools.
