As part of a session on "Multifamily Heat Pump Operations and Maintenance 101," VEIC Senior Consultant Becky Schaaf will present on using heat pumps to add efficient, low-carbon cooling to communities currently underserved and vulnerable to heat waves. This session will outline operations and maintenance strategies for heat pumps in multifamily housing. Once multifamily organizations have taken the big step of upgrading their air condition and water heating systems to heat pumps, they must be able to train staff to operate and maintain this technology to ensure that the systems are tuned to maximize efficiency and comfort. Proper O&M approaches will reduce energy consumption and operating costs and extend the life of the equipment/building.
