Transportation Efficiency

VEIC brings the same level of expertise, skill and diligence that we have shown in the electrical and thermal efficiency realm to the transportation sector. Using the same rigorous analysis process that has been the hallmark of VEIC for the past 25 years we develop transportation efficiency implementation programs and policy development and advocacy. With the same thoughtful attention we evaluate, measure and validate different Transportation Efficiency measures, create Technical Resource Manuals and bring them to market.

Through our policy work we work to ensure that that planning for the electrification of the fleet is done in a thoughtful manner and that policies and programs are in place so that mobility choices are available for all income levels and physical ability.

Adoption of Electric Vehicles in Vermont

Project Get Ready is a program that aims to accelerate the electric vehicle industry by fostering ecosystems in which the technology can most succeed. In Vermont the Project Get Ready efforts are led by the Vermont Energy Investment Corporation. We are partnering with Rocky Mountain Institute, the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources, Agency of Transportation, and the Vermont Department of Public Service on a project to facilitate the adoption of electric vehicles across Vermont.
