Larry Barth heads up the New Jersey office for VEIC, working as the Renewable Energy Program Manager for the New Jersey Office of Clean Energy. Larry and his team are responsible for promoting the development and growth of solar, wind, and biopower markets in the state.
Since joining VEIC in 2007, Larry and his team have reviewed and approved nearly 2,500 renewable energy projects representing 75mW of capacity, administered over $100 million in incentive payments, and facilitated the generation of 60,000 Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (SRECs). He has developed and implemented innovative new programs to create convergence between renewables and energy efficiency, implemented a new performance based incentive methodology in the small wind market, and performed a market segmentation analysis in the biopower market which has stimulated the development of 10MW of innovative new projects. Larry is a frequent speaker at renewable energy forums in New Jersey and is active in local outreach and training efforts.
Prior to joining VEIC, Larry was a member of the senior leadership team at McGraw-Hill Platts, the world’s leading provider of energy information, where he headed up Global Marketing. At Dun & Bradstreet, Larry capped a 10 year business development career as Vice President of the Supply Chain Solutions team. He began his career as a financial analyst at Florida Power and Light.
