Blair Hamilton has more than 30 years of experience in energy efficiency and renewable energy. His work ranges from basic energy materials research to energy policy analysis, and focuses on:

  • Building energy analysis
  • Building monitoring and performance evaluation
  • Energy program design and evaluation
  • Low-income energy programs
  • Program delivery management
  • Design and implementation of energy efficiency financing
  • Solar energy system design and evaluation
  • Efficiency and renewable energy potential studies
  • Energy performance contracting
Blair led the formation of the nation’s first energy efficiency utility, Efficiency Vermont, and is the author of more than 50 publications on energy efficiency and renewable energy. In 2002 he received the Champion of Energy Efficiency Award from the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE).
