Betsy has 6 years of experience in both Residential New Construction and Retrofit energy efficiency program development. Prior to joining VEIC, she managed the construction of Energy Star-rated multi-family developments in Boston. She also worked as an independent consultant to clients such as the City of Cambridge, MA in developing a residential audit and loan program. Betsy started her career as a management consultant to Fortune 500 firms and as Head of Product and Business Development in two investment management firms. Since joining VEIC Betsy has worked with clients in MA, CT, Rhode Island and Indiana, working closely with the utilities in each state to improve residential program design. Betsy has two specific areas of expertise: 1.) residential loan programs and 2.) code compliance. Using her financial expertise, Betsy has recently contributed significantly to the design of a residential loan program for the State of CT, and is currently working with several other clients to implement a portfolio of residential loan programs. Utilizing her code compliance expertise, Betsy is managing a contract for NYSERDA to evaluate and improve residential and commercial code compliance within the state of NY.
