Administrative Department

The Administrative department provides supporting services, infrastructure, and systems which allow the organization to attain its goals in accordance with our Mission, Core Values, and BHAG.  Included within Administration are departments for Accounting and Finance, Information Technology, Quality Management, Facilities, and Human Resources/ Learning and Development.

Facilities

VEIC has 33,650 square feet of office space at our headquarters in Burlington, Vermont as well as offices in Rutland, Vermont, Iselin, New Jersey and Boston, Massachusetts. VEIC is serious about reducing our carbon footprint. We use state-of-the-art energy efficient lighting and HVAC equipment in our offices. As much day-lighting as possible has been incorporated throughout. All of the paint and carpet used is non VOC. Our office furniture is either recycled or made from recycled materials. VEIC offices also incorporate solar domestic hot water, low flow toilets, composting in the kitchens and bathrooms, and green cleaning products. We are continually striving to find ways to minimize our carbon footprint.

Human Resources / Learning and Development

VEIC recognizes that our staff is the heart and soul of the organization.  The Learning and Development Department, in close collaboration with the Human Resources Department, is committed to providing professional development and continuous learning opportunities by developing and aligning systems, processes and tools to support the professional growth and leadership potential of our staff.  Together, these two departments work to attract, motivate and retain the highest quality staff and to optimize and support employee job performance and satisfaction.

Information Technology

VEIC’s Information Technology Department includes 12 full-time professionals and engages in a wide variety of technology efforts to serve VEIC and its clients. These efforts include but are not limited to development of customized Demand Side Management Tracking Software, reporting and support for VEIC’s implementation services and the management of VEIC’s Local and Wide Area Network infrastructure.

Accounting and Finance

Accounting and Finance handles all aspects of VEIC's financial operations which include Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Efficiency Vermont Customer Incentive processing, budgeting, and internal/external financial reporting.  In addition this department manages VEIC's credit requirements and ensures that there are proper internal financial controls to protect VEIC's financial assets.

Business Development and Customer Services

The VEIC Business Development and Customer Services department is staffed by experienced energy management professionals that support VEIC goals, including the successful delivery of the Efficiency Vermont contract. The team supports the major strategies of VEIC by utilizing their energy efficiency expertise, unique knowledge of the VEIC markets, their strength in relationship building, and their commitment to VEIC customers. As the face of the company you will often see the business development and customer service team working at public events or making media appearances to promote energy efficiency throughout Vermont and beyond.  In addition they will be your first point of contact when you call VEIC.

Business Energy Services

Business Energy Services strives to help businesses understand and value energy efficiency as a way to improve their economic performance and better manage the energy use in their facilities. These goals are achieved through customized technical assistance designed to help businesses identify energy efficiency opportunities and solutions for reducing energy use and saving money; financial incentives and financing to help offset the initial cost of energy efficiency improvements; and educational opportunities, including technical trainings for professional development. By targeting our approaches to meet customer needs, Business Energy Services delivers value to businesses of all types and sizes.

Consulting

The VEIC Consulting Division  works with a variety of clients, including utilities, system benefit funded organizations, rate-payer advocate groups, and government agencies  to enhance program design and delivery of energy efficiency and renewable services.

Key Accounts Division

The Key Accounts Division has the primary responsibility to establish strategic relationships that will deliver qualified business projects from Efficiency Vermont's key business accounts on a continuous basis. The department's goal is to achieve energy and demand savings from these accounts to provide customer value and achieve Efficiency Vermont results.

Marketing

The Marketing Department supports VEIC goals, including successful delivery of the Efficiency Vermont contract, through the evaluation, planning, development and implementation of marketing strategies and tactics. This includes development, creation, and production of information/education materials as well as advertising & promotions, web development and maintenance, event support, public relations, and multi-media campaign leadership. 

Residential Energy Services

Residential Energy Services designs, plans, and operates energy efficiency and renewable energy incentive programs for the State of Vermont that help Vermonters save money and lower their energy use through improving the energy efficiency of their homes. These services include technical assistance, expert customer service, education, contractor training, and financial incentives for the purchase and installation of energy-efficient products and for the construction of new homes and retrofit of existing homes.  Staff from Residential Energy Services also frequently partner with members of VEIC's Consulting Division on projects requiring in-field technical expertise.
